What is the imaginal?
The imaginal is not a place you go to, but a mode of perception through which reality reveals
itself before it is explained. It is the layer where sensation, image, and meaning emerge
together, where the body, the mind, the inner world, and the environment begin to interact as one
system.
What appears there is not invented or fictional, but encountered through a different faculty, one
that allows symbols, archetypes, and direction to take form before language organizes them. It is
from this threshold that creation originates, and the role of the artist is to remain in contact
with it long enough to receive, process, and translate what emerges without reducing it too early.

How can we use it as art-led business owners?
An immersive and innovative business is not created by adding aesthetics or storytelling after the
fact, but by letting the imaginal determine the structure itself. This means your offers, your
spaces, your language, and your client experience all emerge from images, sensations, and internal
worlds before they are turned into strategy.
Instead of asking what works, you ask what is happening inside me, and you build from that. This
is how your business becomes a territory rather than a service: people do not just buy something,
they enter something.
The innovation comes from the fact that you are not repeating existing models, but translating
something that has not yet been seen, while the immersion comes from your ability to preserve the
integrity of that world across every touchpoint, from your offers to your rituals to the way
people move inside it.
